Quick and easy homemade original Tzatziki sauce recipe
The Tzatziki sauce is a tasty, light and fresh sauce typical of Greek cuisine, based on yoghurt, cucumber and garlic. It's excellent as an appetizer spread on toast or as a side dish. With this recipe you will prepare it in an easy and quick way!
- 300 g greek yoghurt
- 1⁄2 lemon lemon juice
- 1 salad cucumber
- 1 clove garlic
- black pepper
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 3 sprigs fresh dill
Wash the cucumber. Then, water the whole peel with a grater with small holes.
Place it in a colander and squeeze it well with a spatula. Then, place it in a bowl.
Pour the yoghurt into a bowl, add the garlic and cucumber and mix well with a fork. Then, pour in the juice of half a lemon and continue stirring.
Season the yoghurt with a little chopped dill, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper. Mix well and leave to stand in the refrigerator for at least one hour
The tzatziki sauce is ready! Enjoy
