Homemade American pumpkin pie recipe
Pumpkin pie recipe, an easy-to-prepare dessert with seasonal vegetables. Pumpkin Pie is a very popular dessert in the United States to celebrate Thanksgiving Day.
- 1 short-crust pastry
- 500 g pumpkin
- 2 egg
- 250 g brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 250 ml milk
- 60 g butter
- 1 tablespoon corn flour
Put the chopped pumpkin in a baking dish and bake it with the oven preheated at 180 °C for about 15-20 minutes, until it is very soft. When done, remove from the oven and drain in a colander to remove the water.
Put the pumpkin in a bowl and mash it with a fork. Add the eggs and mix.
Add the brown sugar, softened butter, ginger, cinnamon, grated nutmeg, salt and milk. Add the cornflour and mix well.
Pour the mixture into the tin over the baked shortcut pastry. Then, bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 45 minutes.
Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool. Remove from the mould and sprinkle with icing sugar.
Garnish with raspberries and mint leaves. Serve and enjoy.
