Directions

150 min.
1. Step

Start by preheating the oven to 325°F (165°C). This ensures your oven is at the correct temperature when it's time to put the pork belly in.

2. Step

Rinely dice your pork belly into 1-inch cubes. It's important to make them uniform in size for even roasting.

3. Step

Lay your pork belly cubes on a roasting tray, ensuring they’re evenly spaced apart. From experience, this step is crucial to give them space to roast and become crispy instead of steaming.

4. Step

Mix together the olive oil, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl. This will become the marinade for your pork belly.

5. Step

Drizzle the marinade over the pork belly, ensuring every piece is adequately coated. This gives that burst of savoury-sweet flavor on every bite.

6. Step

Roast your pork belly in the preheated oven for about 2 hours, or until it becomes tender and crisp.

7. Step

Sprinkle the cooked Pork Belly Bites with honey and red chili flakes. This is where you can personalize the spice level to your liking.

8. Step

Return the Pork Belly Bites back to the oven for another 10-15 minutes, until the honey caramelizes and forms a glaze.

9. Step

Allow it to rest for a few minutes before serving. This lets the juices redistribute and makes the pork even more tender.
