For the Scrolls:

  • 200 gms of milk Added to
  • 75 gms of butter, unsalted Added to
  • 1 tablespoon of active dry yeast Added to
  • 400 gms of white bread flour Added to
  • 1 teaspoon of salt Added to
  • 90 gms of sugar Added to

For the Filling:

  • 200 gms of brown sugar Added to
  • 3 tbls of cinnamon powder Added to
  • 60 gms of butter, melted Added to

For the Glaze:

  • 100 gms of icing sugar Added to
  • 3 tbls of milk Added to
  • 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract Added to

1. Step

Begin by warming the milk and butter in the Thermomix at 37 degrees for 3 minutes on speed 1.

2. Step

Add yeast, flour, salt, and sugar to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for seven seconds on speed 7; then knead for 3 minutes.

3. Step

Remove the dough from the bowl; set aside in a warm place to rise for around an hour or until it doubles in size.

4. Step

In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter for the filling.

5. Step

Once the dough has risen, roll out on a floured surface to a 1cm thick rectangle. Spread the filling evenly over the dough surface.

6. Step

Roll the dough tightly from the long edge to form a log. Slice into scrolls of around 2cm thick each.

7. Step

Arrange the scrolls on a baking pan. Preheat your Thermomix oven to 180 degrees and bake for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

8. Step

While the scrolls are baking, mix the icing sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in the Thermomix for the glaze, set for 20 seconds on speed 4.

9. Step

When the cinnamon scrolls are ready, drizzle the vanilla glaze over the warm scrolls. Serve and enjoy!
