Cover with plastic wrap and let the dough rest for 45 minutes until it has almost doubled in size.

Remove and knead again for another 10 minutes.

Divide the dough into two equal parts and roll it into a pair of cylinders. Cut each cylinder into 8 equal parts to make 16 pieces in total. Take one piece and cover the rest with a damp cloth.

Form a ball and with the help of a rolling pin roll it into an oval shape.

Put a little oil on the middle of the piece, so that it does not stick together during cooking and can be opened easily.

Fold in half and place on the baking paper. Repeat with the remaining pieces. Leave to rest for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
