The easiest recipe for strawberry pavlova cake
The Pavlova cake is one of the great cakes of classic international baking. Its traditional version consists of a meringue base, filled with sweetened whipped cream and topped with strawberries. Its perfect for special occasions.
- 4 egg whites
- 280 g sugar
- drops lemon
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon corn starch
- 470 ml liquid cream
- Dulce de leche or chocolate
- 80 g icing sugar
Whisk the egg whites.
Add drops of lemon juice
Add the vanilla
Add the sugar
Add the vinegar
Add the corn starch and continue whisking until the meringue has consistency.
Using a spatula, transfer the mixture into a piping bag.
Place a piece of wax paper on the baking tray.
Shape the meringue into the desired form
Bake the meringue in the oven at 200ºF 140ºC for one hour until it is firm. Place on a wire rack and leave to cool completely.
Place a thin layer of dulce de leche
Place the cream in a bowl.
Add the icing sugar
Whisk until it has a creamy consistency.
Put this mixture on top of the baked mixture.
Decorate using the strawberries. Serve and enjoy!
