Dahl lentils Indian recipe
- green bell pepper
- Concentrated vegetable stock
- black pepper
- coconut milk
- red lentils
In a frying pan, fry finely chopped garlic and finely diced onion and add the tomato with skin in small squares.
Add carrot cubes.
Add hot water to the frying pan, add the vegetable stock, stir well and leave to cook.
Chop the green bell pepper into small cubes and add to the pan.
Add the red lentils and more water, mix well and cook.
Add the seasoning and continue cooking the lentils. Add the coconut milk, turn the gas down to the lowest and cook for 30 minutes. Set aside.
Serve and enjoy. Basmati rice is the ideal accompaniment to Dahl lentils.
