English homemade honey crunchies recipe
Making the chocolate bars on the market at home is not easy but with the honeycomb covered with chocolate, it is! In a few minutes, you can prepare the crunchies at home, the typical candy bars that come from England.
- 100 g crystal sugar
- 1 pinch baking soda
- 1 teaspoon syrup
- 200 g bittersweet chocolate
In a large pot, put the sugar.
Add the honey and syrup.
Let it melt and caramelize.
When the caramel begins to change colour and become more yellow, add a pinch of baking soda.
Turn off the heat.
Pour the mixture into a small pan previously coated with a sheet of parchment paper.
Let it cool down. Then, remove it from the parchment paper.
Cut it with a knife into small pieces.
Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler, or in the microwave.
Cover with dark chocolate to get the homemade crunchies bars.
