Simple Healthy Chicken Waldorf Salad Sandwiches
Chicken Waldorf Sandwich is an all-time classic, refreshing and nutritious sandwich perfect for any time of the day. It combines shredded chicken, crunchy apples and grapes, savory walnuts and crisp celery, topped with a creamy dressing all contained in your bread of choice. It's an easy, quick and satisfying dish that offers texture and flavor in every bite.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 red apple, diced
- 1 Cup red seedless grapes, halved
- 2 Stems of celery, diced
- 1⁄2 Cup walnut halves, chopped
- 1 Cup of mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- salt and pepper to taste
- 8 slices of whole grain bread

Directions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, diced apple, halved grapes, diced celery and chopped walnuts.
In another bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and pepper to create your Waldorf dressing.
Pour the Waldorf dressing into the larger bowl containing the other ingredients. Toss everything together gently until all ingredients are evenly coated.
Spread this mixture onto 4 of the bread slices, then top with the remaining bread to make sandwiches.
