Slow Cooker Pulled Beef for Tacos & Sandwiches

Ingredients
- 3 Pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 Cup beef broth
- 1⁄4 Cup Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 tbls tomato paste
- 2 tbls brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Directions
In a large slow cooker, combine the chopped onion and minced garlic.
In a small bowl, mix together the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, paprika, chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and cayenne (if using).
Place beef chuck roast on top of the onions and garlic in the slow cooker. Pour prepared sauce mixture over the beef, to coat it evenly.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high heat for 4-6 hours, until the meat is tender and easily shreds apart.
Once the beef is ready, carefully take it from the cooker and transfer it to a cutting board. Using forks, shred the beef into bite-sized pieces.
Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and mix it with the remaining sauce. Let it cook on low heat to mix the flavors.
Serve with coleslaw, pickles, and your favorite BBQ sauce.
