The easiest traditional Swiss Rosti recipe
Rösti is a traditional Swiss dish with many variations. The Bernese one incorporates onions and bacon. This recipe is more simple and ideal as a side dish. It's an easy dish to make.
- 3 potato
- black pepper
Cook the potatoes in plenty of water for 20 minutes.
Pass them through a large grater and season with salt and pepper.
Put a knob of butter in the frying pan. Once it is completely melted and covers the surface of the pan, add a portion of the grated potato.
Season with salt and pepper as you add the grated potato to the pan.
Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, flattening with the help of a spatula.
Once browned on one side, and before turning it over, put a little butter on top.
Turn over and cook for another 15 minutes on this side. Add a few more knobs of butter to brown the edges.
Once ready, remove and serve in portions.
