Directions

1. Step

Using a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate in 30-second bursts, stirring well in between until fully melted and smooth. Set aside to cool, but not solidify.

2. Step

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until it becomes creamy and light (about 2-3 minutes on medium speed).

3. Step

Gradually add in the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, while continuing to beat the butter. Ensure the sugar is well incorporated before adding the next cup.

4. Step

Slowly pour in the white chocolate while the mixer is on low speed. Allow to mix thoroughly.

5. Step

Add the vanilla extract and pinch of salt, continuing to mix until well combined.

6. Step

Lastly, while the mixer is running on low speed, gradually add in the heavy cream until the desired consistency is reached. Once all the cream is added, increase the speed to high and whip for about a minute to create a fluffy texture.

7. Step

The buttercream frosting is ready to be used immediately, or can be stored in the refrigerator until needed.
