The best and easiest baked pasta recipe
Baked pasta has become a popular way to cook this wonderful food. With this recipe you will learn how to make baked macaroni and cheese. This is a versatile and simple recipe that works for cooking all kinds of pasta that will surely surprise you.
- 200 g macaroni pasta or any other pasta
- 60 g cheddar
- 60 g mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoon self-rising flour
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 500 ml milk
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg
Boil water in a pot and add salt.
Add the macaroni pasta and cook al dente (do not overcook).
While the pasta is cooking, grate the cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
In a preheated frying pan, add the butter.
Add the flour and cook over medium-low heat for one minute, stirring constantly.
Slowly add the milk, cook for 4-5 minutes until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.
Add ¾ of the grated cheese to the sauce and stir until the cheese melts.
Add salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce.
Stir the pasta into the sauce.
Transfer the pasta to a baking dish, and sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 of the cheese.
In a preheated oven at 180°, bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
