The best homemade Chicken schnitzel recipe
This dish is commonly found in Israel. It consists of breaded and then fried chicken fillets, seasoned with flavour-enhancing ingredients. If you like chicken, this is a recipe you need to try.
- 1 chicken breast
- 1 Cup whole-wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 egg
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
- 1 Cup vegetable oil
Cut a slit into the side of the boneless skinless chicken breast, opening it up like a butterfly.
Wrap the chicken with a sheet of plastic. Then, pound with the flat side of a meat mallet or rolling pin to a uniform thickness
Place the flour, eggs, and breadcrumbs in separates bowls. Dredge the piece of chicken in flour.
Dip the chicken into the egg mixture.
Coat with the breadcrumbs.
Put in a frying pan a dash of vegetable oil. When it gets hot, put the chicken.
Fry for 4 minutes on each side.
Turn off the heat and put the chicken on a wire cooling rack. Then, add salt and pepper.
Serve chicken with your favourite condiments. The perfect accompaniment can be fried potatoes, mashed potatoes, or a salad with fresh vegetables.
